Abstract
Based on the current research results, the thesis has summarized the problems emerging from the senior high school oral English teaching --- lack of sound oral teaching materials and courses, lack of qualified English teachers and the lack of motivated students. In coping with these problems, the thesis advocates such strategies as designing appropriate oral English teaching materials and courses, strengthening the teachers’ training and stimulating students’ subjective initiatives. Only in this way can the oral English teaching at senior high school be improved. Key words : senior high school English education; oral English teaching; problems and strategies
