Abstract
Reading skills are very crucial for English learning and information acquisition. However, current research on English reading in junior middle school is very limited. This paper is based on the current research on English reading in junior middle school both at home and abroad, as well as the investigation on 90 students from Changzhou Shi Yan Middle School. According to the current situation provided by the investigation, the writer will offer some practical and useful reading strategies and suggestions to help junior middle students strengthen English reading awareness, develop reading strategies and improve reading skills.
