Abstract
The dissertation is based on the existing theories and research results at home and abroad with the application of using text features in the English reading comprehension teaching as the object of study. Many methods are used like questionnaires, interview, observation and mini empirical study, etc. First, the thesis expounds the definition of the text features together with the aims and the significance of using text features in English reading comprehension teaching. Second, through summarizing related research, the thesis explicates the way of using text features in English reading comprehension teaching, and the advantages of using text features. Last, the thesis illustrates the great role text features plays in English reading comprehension by analyzing the results of the research.
