Abstract
Margaret Atwood is the queen of contemporary Canadian literature and enjoys a great international reputation. The Edible Woman is her first long story was published. This thesis explores the interconnection between women and nature from the eco-feminism perspective and analyzes the process of the subversion of patriarchy. And, this thesis further explores the reconstruction of harmony between male and female, humans and nature. This novel reflects Atwood’s eco-feminist thoughts: humans and nature, males and females should rely on each other and seek mutual development, which will inspires us to solve the problems confronted humans and the natural environment.
