Abstract
Margaret Mitchell is a famous female writer in twentieth-century America and Gone with the Wind is the only novel in her lifetime. In 1937, Margaret Mitchell won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the second annual National Book Award from the American Booksellers Association. The novel is one of the world’s best-selling books. This paper aims to apply specific text analysis, guardian and reconstruction from female images to nature to show the eco-feminism in the novel. Through the display and analysis of the protagonist’s personality, behavior and thoughts in three different periods, reveal the growth of eco-feminism. These can prove the value of thought transformation under the historical environment at that time and cheer contemporary women up to face their own value, constantly improve themselves.
