Abstract:The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is an immortal children’s novel, which fully shows special characteristics of childen’s joy, fear and pursuit of stimulation, etc.This paper, based on reception aesthetics, makes an analysis of Mr. Zhang Yousong’s and Mr. Yao Jinrong’s Chinese versions of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer from the perspective of Horizon of Expectation, in order to explore the different focus on the children’s literature of these two translators from different era and then points out that translations serving for target children readers can provide children with interest in reading foreign literature.
