Abstract
As an international language, English is increasingly emphasized in the primary school teaching. The Ministry of Education has promulgated the New English Curriculum Standards. Then how to teach English properly and how to let the students learn English with a strong interest are challenges for the teachers. It has been found that one appropriate strategy to promote the students’ English learning is using English songs. Based on the theory of psychology and physiology, this paper is intended to make analysis of the advantages, of the application of English songs and discuss how English songs are applied in English class. At last, this thesis analyzes the limitation of English songs which functions as references in real class.
