Abstract
With the development of the society, people realize the importance of learning English gradually under the background of internationalization trend. Hot issues in modern English teaching like how to arouse students’ interest in learning English, how to maximize their classroom main role, how to improve the effectiveness of English teaching need to be solved. Traditional English classroom teaching pays attention to the English knowledge, grammar and writing, rather than to the students’ ability of using language. It’s quite difficult to cultivate the students’ enthusiasm, initiative and creativity. Classroom interaction emphasizes the application of using language. Compared with conventional English classes, it has a lot of advantages. This thesis is based on the constructivism and the interactive theory of H. Douglas Brown. It introduces the interaction in English classroom in Junior middle school, including the introduction, literature review, concepts, characteristics, main strategies and offering some suggestions for teachers.
