ABSTRACT
As one of the most important forms of language output, writing is always a difficult point in language learning. The adequate and proper language input is the basis of language output. As one of the important sources of language input, the content of English text sample is rich, the language is authentic, and the grammar is correct. They are the ideal materials for written language input. This paper studies the features of high school students’ writing ability, the problems faced by high school students in their writing and the advantages of reciting model articles. The result shows that the recitation of model articles greatly helps to promote students’ English writing ability, and teachers should strengthen the teaching guidance of English recitation, and try to improve students' writing skills more effectively in writing instruction.
