Abstract: With the rapid development of our country’s economy, more and more international business men find their opportunity in China. As one of the ancient civilization, China is noted for its great etiquette. This study aims to analyze the application of business circumstance and further develop the effect of etiquette in business communication. By applying cooperative principle and politeness principle in pragmatics, we can accelerate the development of business activities. The results show that application of etiquette has great influence in business communications. Furthermore, we have to avoid the violence of these two principles. The paper concludes that in business communications, etiquette can make or break a deal.
