Abstract
In view of the development of English learning software, this paper studies the influences of conversational software on college students' oral English learning by taking Lang Fly Software as an example. In this research, 40 college students are divided into two groups—the control group and the experimental group. This study evaluates students’ oral English pronunciation, speaking speed and fluency in terms of word error, pause time and final test scores. In the research, participants need to complete a pre-test and a post-test of conversation, and finish an interview. Finally, we analyze the impact of Lang Fly through comparative tests and interview. The result shows that the students in the experimental group have an obvious improvement on oral English competence. The research indicates that Lang Fly software can increase students’ motivation and interest. It is effective for improving college students’ oral English competence.
