内容简介 《聚焦》一书的作者是当代作家海蒂•格兰特•霍尔沃森和托瑞•希金斯博士。本书作者以调节聚焦理论为基础,分析了处于促进聚焦和预防聚焦两种不同状态下的人对于输赢、工作、孩子等方面的表现和特点,同时对比了处于促进聚焦和预防聚焦状态的人在输赢、工作、孩子等方面的表现,并就如何判断他人动机焦点给出了详细的解释。本次翻译实践节选书的第三章和第四章进行翻译。 第三章作者讲述了处于促进聚焦和预防聚焦两种不同状态的人的工作方式。促进聚焦的人在工作中勇于挑战、创新,不墨守成规。而预防聚焦的人在工作中注意细节,做事周到,习惯规避潜在风险。 第四章作者讲述了孩子的父母及看护人对孩子的影响,他们的行为和对孩子行为的反应对孩子日后处于哪种聚焦状态有很大的影响。同时,孩子的三种自我指南也影响着孩子的聚焦状态。
INTRODUCTION The book FOCUS is written by Heidi Grant Halvorson and Edward Tory Higgins. The author on the basis of Regulatory Focus Theory analyzes the performance and features of people who are in two different states of promotion focus and prevention focus in terms of win or loss, work, kids and so on. At the same time, the author compares the performance of people who are in two different states of promotion focus and prevention focus in terms of win or loss, work, kids and so on, and gives a detailed explanation of how to judge others’ focus of motivation. This translation practice, I translate the third chapter and the fourth chapter of the book. The third chapter describes the working way of people who are in two different states of promotion focus and prevention focus. People who are promotion focused are willing to challenge, innovate and don’t stick to the rules at work. However, people who are prevention focused pay more attention to details, do something up brown and are used to avoiding potential risks at work. The fourth chapter describes the parents’ and caretakers’ influence to the kids. Their behaviors and responses to children’s actions have a great influence to children’s focus state in the future. Meanwhile, child’s three self-guides also affect child’s focus state. |
