The unit 3 is mainly about the sentence patterns "Is this/that your pencil？Yes, it is. No it isn't." Then use the new words to substitute "pencil", nominal possessive pronouns to substitute "it" in real contexts. Learn how to write a Lost and Found notice. Continue to consolidate the sentence pattern "How do you spell it?" from the second unit. From "this /that" to "these/ those", guide students to distinguish the singular and plural forms. Through this unit,students will be able to ask and express the ownership of objects in English.
