教材内容分析

This unit is the fourth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. This unit mainly focuses on the communicative function of “talking about where things are” and consists of two sections around the topic of “things around the house”. In Section A, students are supposed to learn how to ask and answer where things are. This part also presents some nouns of things around the house and yes-no questions in order to talk about where things are accurately. There are more words of things in Section B. Listening and speaking activities, reading activities and writing activities are all centered on the location of things. Students can talk about different locations of different things, reflect on different life styles. So the topic of “talking about where things are” is close to students’ life and can arouse students' interest in learning easily. At the same time, students can actively participate in the teaching process, so as to obtain satisfactory learning effect.
