教材内容分析 This unit is the eighth unit of Grade seven of PEP New Goal. It consists of Section A Section B and Self Check. Section A is the key part of this unit and is also the core teaching content. It is an oral practice class. Students can understand more about birthdays by talking about the birthdays of classmates, parents and family members. This part serves as a link between past and future, and plays an important role in this unit. Section B’s main content is to review, consolidate “date inquiries and responses”; learn to talk about the dates of school events and learn to schedule students’ work and spare time. This part mainly studies how to arrange school activities. It is very close to the students’ study and life. By asking each other about the schedule of school activities, it can not only improve the understanding and friendship between students, but also learn to arrange their work and spare time reasonably and to develop good habits of living and studying regularly. Self-Check part guides students to review and consolidate the target language of “asking and talking about dates”. First students learn the composition of ordinal numbers and use ordinal numbers and months to express dates. Then through asking and answering the dates of birthdays and school events, from listening, speaking, reading and writing four aspects, students can master the expression of the date and use when-guided special questions to ask about the date correctly.
