教材内容分析 This unit is from the textbook of Liaoning Normal University Press and it is the twelfth unit in the first volume of Grade 5 in primary school. The main topic of this unit is seasons. Grade 5 is a critical period for students to learn language. After learning this unit, students will master the new words about four seasons. They can introduce the seasons they like and the activities they often do in each season freely. Their ability to listen, speak, read and write can be improved through practice. What’s more, students will enjoy the beauty of nature and learn to love nature. There are four periods in this unit. The first period in this unit is vocabulary lesson. In period 1, students will learn some words about seasons. After learning this part, students can master expressions of four seasons and they can use these new words to form new phrases and simple sentences. The second period in this unit is listening and speaking lesson. In period 2, students review the new words they have learnt in previous lesson. This part also shows students the beautiful scenery of spring. After learning this lesson, students can introduce spring to others briefly and their ability of listening and speaking can improve. The third period in this unit is reading. Before the new lesson, there is a guessing game. This activity can help students master the pronunciation and meaning of the words about seasons. There is a dialogue about the weather in the North Pole and South Pole in this lesson. This is an extremely interesting topic which will arouse students’ interest and broaden their reviews. Therefore, students will learn more about the outside world. Besides, students will learn the pronunciation of “ow” and they can spell the words with “ow” freely. The fourth period is writing. There is a reading material in this period. This reading material shows students three examples about how to introduce spring, summer and autumn. After analyzing the reading material, students have already had the basic idea of how to describe a season. Then students can write a short composition to introduce their favorite season according to the writing framework in the textbook. There is also a rustic song in this period. Students in Grade Five are interested in such things, which can also help them study English happily and efficiently. |
