教材内容分析

  It is unit 5 in the book Go for It!.The book is one of the series of the New Target teaching materials and is used by the students in Grade Eight in their last semester. The book contents are closely related to students’ daily life. TV channels and movies are necessary for students to relax and expand their horizon. This unit includes these contents. It requests students to grasp different kinds of TV shows and movies, and to talk about their preferences on these shows. In addition, students can share their happiness and experiences with their classmates. As the topic of this unit is close to students’ daily life, students will be ready to express themselves and their interests will be aroused. Accordingly, the efficiency to learn will be improved and the teaching aims will be achieved easily. The main grammar of this unit is the usage of infinitives. Students just need to grasp the certain matches of verbs. By learning this unit, students can use important words, phrases and targeted language to talk about their views on TV shows and movies. Moreover, students can learn about the cartoon’s role in American culture. This unit includes three learning periods.
