教材内容分析

The teaching material is from the Junior High School English Textbook for Grade Eight, published by PEP. The topic of this unit is describing personal traits and making comparison. The comparative construction of adjectives and adverbs is a new grammar for the students and the key point of this unit is to let the students know how to make comparisons, which is very important in the whole knowledge system. This topic is close to students’ daily life and the language materials are derived from the actual life of students. Therefore, students can actively participate in the class activities, and they can learn by doing. This unit aims to create a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere for students and help them achieve what they are supposed to learn through doing a lot of activities, games and group works.
