教材内容分析

This module is the fourth unit of volume 3 of the new junior high school English textbook. The core topic of this module is "talk about what they used to be / like". 

After learning this unite,students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing ability can also be improved. Students can know how to correctly express their opinions and suggestions in English, focusing on the cultivation of students' acquired language use ability, practical ability, cooperative ability and innovative consciousness. In addition, students through the old and new contrast, learn to pay attention  to the change of others

 and care for others, understand the turning point of life and grasp the method of fate.

The first period of this unit is Listening and Speaking. It reviews and consolidates the  

 vocabulary about personality and appearance that students have learned, introduces the   language structure of "used to" through listening and speaking activities, students can     experience the application of "used to" in real daily communication, and then understand  its functional meaning.

The second period of this unit is Reading. Let students read about the story of a shy 

Asian girl who became a pop star, and convey the importance of focusing on self-development and self-improvement while expanding the application of knowledge, developing    skills and reading strategies.

The third period of this unit is Grammar. Learn and summarize grammar used to sentence structures, including positive, negative and question structures and their answers.

The next period of this unit is Listening and Speaking. 1a-1b further enriched the topic content of this unit and warmed up the listening activities later. For the third listening input of 1c-1d, the language is more difficult and richer based on

 Section A. 1e requires students to communicate with their peers about what they have heard.

The last period of this unit is Reading and Writing. Mainly around the "past hobbies",

from listening, speaking "past school life" to "past behavior" to read, write a comprehensive language training.

 

单元重点、难点

Teaching important points:

1.Used to sentence pattern.

2.Learn to use "used to" to talk about how you and others have changed in

 appearance, personality and hobbies.

3.Correct use of all key words, phrases and sentence patterns, use the "used to"

 structure correctly, including "yes", "no", "question" and "answer".

4.Through listening training, improve students’comprehensive listening and speaking ability.

5.Through the reading strategy training, improve the students’comprehensive reading ability.

6.Students can comprehensively use the language knowledge learned in this unit to guide form a discourse, and improve the ability of written expression.

Teaching difficult points: 

1.Learn to use "used to" to talk about how you and others have changed in 

appearance, personality and hobbies.

2.Use the "used to" structure correctly to describe or ask about past appearances, personality traits, and experiences.

Through the reading strategy training, improve the students’ comprehensive reading ability.
