教材内容分析 This unit is the second unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. The context of the textbook is combined with the situation of the students in the new semester, which reflects the combination of grammar knowledge and situation. Besides the learning of new words “sister, mother, parent, daughter, cousin, uncle, family...”and sentence patterns, this unit mainly focuses on the communicative function of “introducing people and identifying people”. At the same time, students can learn to share with others about their families in English and love their family deeply. Using demonstrative pronouns (this, that, these, those) to introduce people and using Who questions and Yes or No questions to identify people are the importance of this unit. After the study of this unit, students can not only draw family tree but also use words and sentence patterns to introduce their family to their new friends both literally and orally. What’s more, they can know about western cultures such as appellation between family members in England. This unit is closely related to the first four units. It prepares for the general question in Unit 3 and singular and plural forms of nouns in Unit 4.It is vital for students in their learning processes. There are 6 periods in this unit.
