This unit is the fourth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. The main content of this unit is to talk about the location of things. The topic revolves around "Where is...?" and uses the preposition learned “in, on, under” to introduce the position of objects.

In Section A, students learn some words about household goods and school supplies as well as location prepositions through word collocation and listening practices. In Grammar focus, consolidate grammar knowledge through the dialogue completing, looking for differences of two pictures and other activities. Section B introduces more vocabulary about household goods and school supplies. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities are all focused on asking and introducing the location of the item. In this unit, both the listening and reading materials focus on the vocabulary of the object and its position, so as to enable the students to communicate in English and master the usage of locative prepositions. What's more, the reading material is about the contrast of two students' different habits of arrangement. Through different activities, teachers can improve students' reading ability and help them develop a good habit of keeping rooms clean, tidy and reasonably putting things, and have a good preparation for writing. Therefore, the topic of "talking about the position of things" is close to students' life, and can arouse students' learning interest, let them grasp language knowledge in listening, speaking, reading, writing and doing, cultivate the ability of using language knowledge, and inspire the spirit of innovation.
