中文摘要:旅游业已成为全世界增长最快的产业之一。中国拥有极为丰富灿烂的旅游资源与文化,吸引着越来越多的国际游客前往中国观光旅游。然而与之极不协调的是,用于宣传这些我国旅游事业赖以生存和发展的宝贵财富的文字资料在对外翻译(汉译英)时,其质量远不如人意,出现了种种问题,尤其是由文化因素而造成的失误最为突出,已成为我国翻译界众多学者和专家目前共同关注的焦点问题之一,对这个问题的解决已刻不容缓。 有鉴于此,本文尝试通过探讨旅游、文化、翻译三者之间的相互关系,旅游资料的特点及中国旅游的发展现状,将文化翻译理论与旅游者的旅游动机相结合,指出旅游资料汉译英过程中跨文化角度的重要性,以探讨汉语旅游资料英译的有效指导原则。本文指出在将中文旅游宣传资料翻译成英文时,应把它们视为跨文化交际行为,要有跨文化意识,考虑其跨文化的因素,并从跨文化的角度选择翻译标准和方法。本文提出了“文化导向”和“旅游者导向”的原则来指导旅游资料的英译,并提出了一些具体的翻译方法,旨在提高译文质量,促进中国旅游业更为广泛地走进国际市场,促进中国文化的对外交流与发展。
