Abstract: With the development of social pluralism, film subtitles translation has become an   important type of translation for the cultural exchange. It differs from other literary   translation, and has its own characteristics. This paper aims to analyze features of film     subtitle translation, such as its use of spoken language, popularity, serviceability and time   and space limitation and other characteristics based on the target language audience and to  analyze the specific application of translation such as omission, domestication and   foreignization , tone reproduction and integrity with examples.
