Abstract ：With China becoming the world’s largest net-using population, Internet language, a new variety of language, turns out to be a new linguistic medium. Therefore, Internet language has come into notice. Metaphor can reflect human cognitive process. Based on the Conceptual Metaphor theory, this paper aims to analyze the lexical metaphors in Internet buzzwords by collecting a large number of examples, and then explore the features of them, so as to improve the understanding of the Internet buzzwords.
