摘要：随着经济全球化的发展，以及我国改革开放的热潮, 英语，作为一门日益受到广泛运用的语言，已经越来越被人们重视。各级各类学校对英语的重视程度也随之提高起来了。然而，对于初中生来说学习英语并不是那么容易。英语教师们不但要使用口头语言，也要使用肢体语言来协助教学以此来获得良好的教学效果。教师的眼神，面部表情以及肢体语言，如果运用得当，将更好地完成教学任务。在本篇论文中主要讨论了肢体语言的定义及其特点，以及在初中英语教学中应用肢体语言的优点，也对于在其运用过程中产生的问题进行了探讨。
