摘要：初中是英语学习的一个重要阶段，在英语学习中起着至关重要的作用。在中国，学生学习英语的水平在下降，学生不乐意参与到课堂。大部分原因主要是过去传统枯燥的口语教学，没有真切的语言环境，而且学生盲目地接受所教授的知识。课后，学生机械地死记硬背书本，逐渐失去学习英语的兴趣。作为一种新的教育方式，交际法对激发学生学习英语的兴趣，提高他们的主动性和交际能力起着重要的作用。本文介绍了研究的背景、基本原则和优点，分析了英语教学中交际法的可行性，提出了提高口语能力的相关应用方法。
