Abstract: This study aims to investigate the gothic features of Wuthering Heights. The author Emily Bronte is a great writer. Learning from the Gothic tradition of European literature, she wrote this amazing book which is full of fascinating gothic descriptions  that make the plot much more intense and story much richer. The Gothic features include the traditional Gothic theme of love and revenge,  the dark and bleak setting, the supernatural ghosts and the typical Gothic characters such as Heathcliff, Catherine, Hindley and Isabella. The paper concludes that thanks to Emily Bronte’s adept writing skill, Wuthering Heights is a classical gothic novel of English literature.

摘要：本文旨在研究呼啸山庄中的哥特式特点。作者艾米丽 勃朗特是一位伟大的作家，她在研究当时传统的欧洲文学写作风格的基础上，创作了这部惊世之作。小说充斥着引人入胜的哥特式描写，而这些描写也让小说的情节更加激烈，故事更加丰富饱满。论文所描述的哥特式风格包括传统的哥特文学主题—爱与复仇，黑暗凄凉的环境设置，超自然现象鬼怪的描写以及典型的哥特式人物如希刺克里夫，凯瑟琳，亨得利和伊莎贝拉的分析。本文的结论是，呼啸山庄是一部典型的哥特小说，作者运用纯熟的写作手法，让哥特小说耳目一新，给我们带来了一场文字盛宴。
