Abstract:How to help readers find attractive and interesting news in the limited time? Then headline is an ideal road sign. Headline is a skillful summary of a news report, including the major and core issue of the report. Therefore, a good translation of English news headline is very important for better understanding, and also raises the effectiveness of news. The paper first make a comparison of them as to their differences, similarities in terms of language forms, the choice of words, etc.Then analyzes the characteristics of the two languages respectively, using relevant examples to illustrate their features. Finally, it offers several translation methods based on some translating theories.

摘要：怎样帮助读者在有限的时间里找到既有趣又感兴趣的新闻报道呢？标题是新闻报道的高度概括，包括了一些核心实质问题。因此，好的英语新闻标题的译文对更好地理解原文相当重要；同时也增强了新闻的有效性。本文就两语言在语言形式、择词等方面做了对比, 然后着力于英汉新闻标题各自的特点，并用了相关例子来阐述。最后，论文结合一些翻译理论给出了几个翻译方法。
