Abstract: With the development of international exchange, Chinese-English translation of public signs is of growing significance. However, the current situation of the translation is far from being satisfactory. So it is necessary to make some further researches on the translation of public signs. According to the functional theories, one of the most important factors that determine a translation purpose is the intended receiver or reader. Therefore, in the translation of public signs, we should bear the intended functions and addressees of the public signs in mind and adopt suitable translation methods to fulfill the successful communication. Having explored various translation problems of the public signs in some famous scenic spots in the light of functionalist theory, we may find a new solution to the problems. 摘要:伴随着国际交流的发展,公示语的汉英翻译显得愈发重要。然而,公示语翻译的现状还不尽如人意。因此,有必要对这一课题作进一步的研究。 根据功能翻译理论,译文的目标读者在决定翻译目的的过程中起了重要作用。因此,在公示语翻译过程中,我们应始终以目标文本的预期功能为中心,从外国游客的接受程度为出发点,采用多种翻译方法以使公示语译文在读者中起到应有的作用。本文作者从上述理论出发,对一些著名旅游景区的公示语翻译存在的问题进行分类、分析、研究,并提出针对不同公示语的功能特点分别采用不同的翻译方法以加强译文在外国游客中的可接受性,实现文本预期功能以达到理想的交流效果。作者期望本文能有助于为那些来到中国的外国游客创造良好的语言环境。 关键词:汉英翻译,旅游景区公示语,功能理论 |
