Abstract:This thesis aims to study the application of mind-mapping in high school English vocabulary. This paper first introduces the theories on mind mapping, then gives an analysis of the features of high school English vocabulary and the features of mind map, then analyzes the possible positive influences of mind maps on English vocabulary learning. Then it lists the ways of how to draw mind maps by computer or by hand and gives three examples by providing mind maps of topic words, compound words, and affixes. Finally the thesis comes to the conclusion that the application of mind-mapping can help high school students master English vocabulary in a better way.
