Abstract:Marriage relationship is described as the most closed and the longest interpersonal relationships in the history. Comparatively speaking, American Society pay attention to the importance of freedom and human rights, while China with a history of thousands of years is more conservative which lead to the different Sino-US women’s marriage views. Based on the theory of cross-cultural communication, this paper analyses the different marriage concepts between Chinese and American women from people’s values, religious beliefs, social economic and political systems, and explores the different reasons for the formation of the concept,hoping to offer some suggestions to cross-cultural communication.
