ABSTRACT
Language is the basic tool for people to communicate and express thoughts. People use fuzzy expressions naturally and intentionally, and fuzzy language plays a very important role in English as well.Fuzzy language refers to the imprecise phenomena presented in linguistic expression or the natural language with fuzziness. In recent years, more and more scholars have come to realize that fuzzy language is a useful means of expression like precise language and play an important role in verbal communication. Fuzzy language not only may not have a bad effect on expression but can make the expression more natural and well expressed, can transmit people's feeling more effectively. Therefore, it is important for us to study the fuzzy language. This paper uses large amounts of examples to give a detailed analysis of the cause, research significance, status and forms of the fuzzy language and emphasizes on the pragmatic meaning of it, is aimed at guiding the English learners to use the fuzzy language more appropriately.
