Abstract
It is nearly six months since American presidential election in 2016. Trump was unexpectedly but naturally was elected as the new president of the United States. With the victory of Trump, the US government's new leadership team also officially formed. The US presidential election will have a lot of impacts, such as changes in government officials, and the direction of US fiscal spending. Among several kinds of changes, the problem that Chinese people and even people around the world are greatly concerned with is nothing more than the US government's foreign policy. As the most powerful country in the world, each of its diplomatic initiatives will affect the interests of other countries in large or small scale. China is currently the largest trading partner of the United States. This article will focus on the Trump government's policy toward China, mainly on Sino-US relations, concerned with the attitude toward China in the process of election. This paper analyzes the impact on China after Trump became the new president of the United States. This paper, based on the Trump’s campaign, focused on the policies of China and the influence of his policies on China. The article also discusses the relationship between China and the United States in economic and political terms, elaborated on the reengagement with Asia strategy, and China's responses. The research of this thesis is beneficial to the understanding of the current relationship between China and the United States, and to understand that the pursuit of peaceful development time is of considerable benefit to the practical significance of China. The paper can further help to understand the specific application of international relations theory in Sino-US relations, seize the US government's policy toward China,and explore today's international relations. By studying the Trump government's policy toward China, we hope that can help us have a correct understanding of foreign politics.
