Abstract
Movie industry has become one of the biggest media in China, in the meantime, more and more foreign movies have been imported into China, Which become a vital part in people’s life. Thus movie translation becomes the problem that we must solve, and the movies imported are translated quite well by the several studios, for example: Shanghai Film Dubbing Studio. But for most of people especially foreign language learners like us. Movie translation still lacks attention and research. I found that subtitling is closely related to the techniques I learned in the interpreting. So I came up with the idea that subtitling can be used as the methods of learning interpreting. I happen to be preparing for the test of advanced interpretation, so I can do the research not only according to the previous researches, but also through my own experiences. In order to research the use of subtitling in the learning of interpreting. I first talk about the definition and the introduction of subtitling. And those information can mainly come from the previous studies done by others. Secondly, I will study the basic learning methods and theories of interpreting and translation, also connect with my own learning procedure and feelings. Thirdly, the abilities that acquired and trained in the movie translation will be researched in the thesis and also the similarities and differences will be studied in detailed. Then the more important part is the actual apply of movie translation in the learning of translation and interpreting. In this part, I’ll have the plan, prediction of the results and finally the actual result.
