Abstract

Body language plays an important part in our daily communication. Psychologists find that about 70% of our communication with others is non-verbal. Nowadays, our teachers are paying more attention to oral expression, however, in most cases, we ignore the functions of body language in English teaching in primary school. Relatively, body language is visual, concrete and flexible. In view of the psychological characteristics of primary school students, the application of body language will not only help improve the efficiency of teaching, but also raise students’ learning interest. Nevertheless, improper body language will bring negative influence. Besides, studying students’ body language may help teachers have a better understanding of their students. This essay will discuss the strategies of body language and the analysis of students’ body language.
