Abstract
This research project is about the application of situational approach in elementary school English teaching, which aims to study and investigate it and how to use the advantages of this method effectively. It guides teachers to reflect on their teaching behaviors and train students to understand certain scenes, thus promote the improvement of the teaching quality. The main content includes the concepts and principles of situational teaching method and introduce several effective implementation. This thesis can be divided into four chapters. The first chapter includes the introduction of this method. The second chapter presents concepts and principles. The third chapter analyzes the role of it in English education in primary school and the last one will analyze of its implementation. It stimulates students’ interest in learning and also effectively guarantee the good teaching effect.
