Abstract

 

With the development of the Internet and a variety of network open class and the Big Data, the papers starts from the data of the concept, characteristics and thechange of thinking, combines the present situation of college English listening learning in China, analyzes the condition of Big Data to college English Listening learning in our country, which has brought a lot of change.

Now, more and more Network resources become English teaching resources .TED becomes more and more popular in college English teachingfor its rich content and cutting-edge ideas and standards of language. In College English listening classes, TED can become a useful supplement to the text topic;it can also be related to the topic of language material source, so it is worth considering for English teachers in College English Teaching to make good use of the TEDTalks in universities.

From the Big Data, this paper describes the essential factor that the English majors’ lacking of ability of thinking and analyzing firstly, and then analysis the feasibility of the students training of the ability to think and analyze in TED Talks. The paper combine the living examples to  point out that  TED as a teaching introduction it can cultivate students' analysis, inference and  the  high-level thinking ability, it regarded the  college English listening teaching and learning as the research object, using the technologyof data mining  to analyze the factor such as  the learning environment, the faculty, the teaching process and students' learning method, learning motivation, learning time and other factors.In order to statistics out the situation about the College English listening.
