ABSTRACT
Teacher-student interaction in the classroom refers to the communication between teachers and students, and the dynamic process that relates to them, which occurs in the classroom. Essentially, classroom teaching is the interaction and communication between teachers and students, and teaching cannot be separated from teacher-student interaction. This paper focuses on teacher-student interaction in middle school English class. The author adopts empirical research, observational survey to research the present status of teacher-student interaction in middle school English class, and find out the existing problems and causes of it. Besides, this paper tries to provide effective solutions and suggestions for it. The research shows that teacher-student interaction in middle school English class has the following problems: 1.The interaction between teachers and students does not aim directly at the teaching goal; 2.The inappropriate ways are used in teacher-student interaction; 3.One-way interaction overweighs two-way interaction; 4.Interactive opportunity for different students is unequal. The problems of the teacher-student interaction in middle school English class are related to teachers, students, classroom environment, emotions. This paper believes that improving the consciousness and ability of teachers and students, and enhancing classroom environment, strengthening the emotional connection can help realize a better teacher-student interaction in middle school English class.
