ABSTRACT
The English Curriculum Standard for Senior High School clearly puts forward that vocabulary teaching is an important part of English teaching. At present, the application of vocabulary teaching strategies in senior high school is often neglected, the vocabulary teaching efficiency is low and the effect of students' vocabulary learning effect is not ideal in senior high school English vocabulary teaching. How to improve students' vocabulary learning efficiency, expand their vocabulary and help students apply vocabulary flexibly has gradually become a research focus in English teaching. It is becoming more and more important and urgent to strengthen the study and practice of English vocabulary learning and teaching strategies. This paper focuses on the study of students' English vocabulary learning strategies in senior high school and adopts the research methods of literature analysis, questionnaire survey and data analysis. It attempts to put forward more scientific, reasonable and effective vocabulary teaching suggestions based on the current situation of students' vocabulary learning. Teachers should strengthen the training of students' English vocabulary learning strategies and methods to arouse students' interest in English vocabulary and form their own learning methods. In addition, teachers should also help students develop good habits of learning vocabulary and improve students' ability to learn vocabulary actively.
