Abstract:The issue of life and death is always related to a person’s life, and also a philosophical question that attracts countless philosophers to think hard about. This paper aims to study Harry’s view of life and death in Hemingway’s short novel The Snows of Kilimanjaro, which is reflected from Harry’s inner world, constant memories and his changing moods. To Harry, life is a short but memorable existence and a journey from womb to tomb, while death is the extrication of vexation and the sublimation of spirit. Key words: Hemingway; The Snows of Kilimanjaro; view of life and death
