Abstract:With the development of the world economy and the growth of globalization, cross-cultural communication between countries have become more and more frequent. Meanwhile, people quicken their pace to pursue spiritual life. Many excellent foreign films approach to the scene view of people. Under the circumstances, subtitle translation are born out to meet people’s appreciation of the needs of films from different countries. Good subtitle translation can help people from all of the world overcome cultural barriers in order to guide audience concentrate on the films. Subtitle translation can convey the original cultural information to varying degrees when it exchanges the original films’ language information. Therefore, translators should not only pay attention to the features of language in communication and the transference of cultural connotation, but also make sure that subtitle translation is compatible to target people’s language habits on the basis of original contexts and meanings. Besides, subtitle translation is beneficial to the public, which is different from literary works. So translators have to take audience’ culture and interests into consideration when translating subtitle. This thesis takes the subtitle of Frozen as a case study to explore various translation strategies of subtitle translation with the help of Communication Theory, thus transmitting information of films to audience effectively. 中文摘要:随着世界经济及全球化的发展,国与国之间的交流也更加频繁,同时,人们的精神文化生活在不断地提高和丰富,许多优秀的外国影视作品走进了人们的视野。在这种情况下,为了实现不同语种之间影视作品的欣赏,影视字幕翻译应运而生。优秀的影视字幕翻译可以让观众没有丝毫的文化障碍,满足观众的需求。 影视字幕翻译在正确传递原片语言信息的同时不同程度地传达了原片的文化信息。因此,在影视字幕翻译时不仅要注意语言旳交际特色,传递文化内涵,还要注意译文、字幕在原有语意、语境的基础上符合人们的语言习惯。因为字幕翻译不同于文学文本,字幕翻译是为普通大众服务的,在进行最佳语言沟通和文化传播的同时,必须照顾到受众的文化层次和兴趣取向,合理进行字幕翻译的保留与创新,达到双向的结合与平衡。 本文从传播学角度出发,以《冰雪奇缘》的字幕为语料,借助于传播学的理论和方法来探究字幕翻译中的各种策略,从而有效地将电影内容传递给观众以达到最佳的传播效果。 关键词:影视字幕翻译;传播学理论;翻译策略;《冰雪奇缘》
