教材内容分析 This unit is unit 3 of the first semester of grade 7. It focuses on the Earth and environmental protection. This unit covers the distribution of life on the Earth, human life, environmental protection and pollution. The unit is divided into five periods: reading, vocabulary, listening and speaking, grammar and writing. Through these five periods, students interpret the text from different aspects and acquire knowledge, such as how to write a composition, how to protect the environment and so on. In class, teachers set up activities to enhance students' interest, let students be involved into the classroom, mobilize interest and classroom atmosphere. In the five periods, let the students know the necessity of protecting the environment through reading, and ask the students to write a composition about protecting the environment systematically in the writing class. Protecting the environment is a duty of everyone, students can start from the small things every day. For example, the recycling of water can reduce the waste of water, taking cloth bags to the supermarket to reduce the use of plastic, reducing the use of cars or gasoline to reduce exhaust emissions, and using more new energy to protect the environment. Now the protection of the environment is urgent, every little thing adds up to something big, one plus one is greater than two. So the topic of “the Earth” is close to students’ life, and can easily arouse students' interest in learning and make them willing to participate in relevant activities.
