教材内容分析 This unit is the second unit in the first volume of the new compulsory English teaching material for senior high school students published by PEP, English. The teaching content associates with the hot topic in recent years, travelling. It leads students to experience each way of travelling, which includes making travel plans, feeling different flavors of foreign countries and recording their trips. This topic is closely related to real life, so it’s very practical. The first period introduces the pronunciations of certain letters and trains students to speak rightly, which is good for their oral English. Next, listening period includes the knowledge about travel plans. Students can master the listening steps and improve their ability of listening. In the reading class, students do not just learn the literal knowledge and skills, but know more local conditions and customs, broaden their horizons and feel diverse cultures to foster their minds. In the grammar class, it’s good for students to use the form of a piece of familiar grammar, the present continuous tense, to learn a new usage, the present continuous tense for future plans. Before the important grammar is taught formally, it appears in the former articles to pave the way. With the foundation in junior high school, students can adjust more difficult learning content easily. After learning the grammar and mastering the new words, students can use the knowledge about travelling to finish emails by themselves. More and more, each type of classes does not exist separately, each class contains at least two fundamental skills of English learning which are listening, speaking, reading and writing, such as reading for writing. The emphasis of teaching is the cultivation of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, the teaching of knowledge in the texts and the inculcation of cultural awareness, while the teaching difficulty is whether students can not only master and properly apply the learned skills, but also shape good thinking quality.

Cultural awareness: 1.Students can admire different styles from domestic and foreign sights, feeling the unique culture of Peru.
