教材内容分析

This unit is the fourth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. The topic of this unit is about items in the room, the teacher needs to guide students to describe locations by using pictures and videos. In section A, students are supposed to use “Where’s/Where are …?” “It’s/They’re on/in/under…” and on/in/under correctly. Through listening practice, students should master the strategy of listening key words and the ability to extract key information under the help of the teacher. In this part, the teacher should pay attention to check the plurals and correct the errors in time. What’s more, students can distinguish the usage of it and they, and use them correctly. Section B mainly focuses on improving reading and writing skills. The reading material of this part is about things in Kate and Gina’s room, which contains ideological education that we should put things properly and reinforces the use of describing the location. Students’ ability to extract information can be trained through learning the passage, and it is also a consolidation of the structure of words and prepositions in this unit. The part of self-check aims at improving students’ writing abilities. Students can apply what they have learned to life.
