教材内容分析

This unit is the third unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. It carries out a variety of teaching activities, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing around the theme of identifying ownership. It is closely related to students’ daily life and easily to arouse students’ interest in learning, which is very helpful to improve students’ comprehensive ability, especially their speaking ability.

This unit is closely connected with the second unit and it prepares the students for further study, which helps them to learn gradually. The core content of its teaching is “identify ownership”. The important and difficult points are to summarize the sentence patterns used to identify the owners of the items.

Through learning Section A, students can learn to identify the owners of objects, ask about the ownership of objects according to the scene and learn the corresponding expressions in English. Students can also use appropriate language to communicate with others in daily life and lay a solid foundation for future learning.

Through learning Section B, students can understand the reading materials, master how to write “Lost and Found” and reinforce the spelling of “How do you spell pen? P - E - N”.

In addition, students can form a good habit of returning the lost things by identifying the ownership.
