教材内容分析

The teaching content is from Unit 3, Volume2, Grade7 of the textbook Go for It by People's Education Press. This unit takes "transportation" as the topic, which the function is "talk about how to get to places", and the vocabulary about vehicles.

Section A shows the scene that students go to school in different ways of transportation, which lead students to the discussion about the way of getting to school. In the aspect of emotion, teachers can naturally introduce two aspects of quality education to the teaching content: first, environmental protection awareness, in order to save energy and reduce emissions, way of travel by walking or riding should be advocated; second, awareness of punctuality, in order to be punctual (arrive at school on time), students should learn to arrange their own time in a proper way.

Section B (2a-2c) continues the topic of the way of transportation. This part focuses on reading teaching, which emphasizes the training of reading strategies such as predicting the text information, obtaining the main idea and specific information of the text. What’s more, the theme and content of the text are also very suitable for cultivating students' sense of gratitude which hopes that they can cherish their life and learning conditions through comparison, so as to study harder. Section B (3a-3c) focuses on the writing part: learn to describe how to go to school in the morning and learn how to write English e-mail! Understand the different parts of the English e-mail writing format.
