This textbook is from Unit Four of English published by Shanghai Education Press for seventh graders. The content of the unit is talking about seasons which is close to the reality of students’ life. When the students start learning the topic, they have just experienced the National Holidays, meaningful period of time. So students can experience the season of autumn and they can describe the weather during autumn. What is autumn like? It will stimulate students’ desire and interest in learning. This unit mainly focuses on the communicative function of talking about the weather in four seasons, describing the characteristics of four seasons and describing what activities do people like doing in different seasons. Through this unit, students will be able to talk about seasons using key words, phrases and the target language. There are 5 periods in this unit.
