ABSTRACT:Language and culture are inseparable. Northeast dialect is a form of northeast culture, which has a great impact on English learners. Negative transfer of culture is a very important issue in cross-cultural communication, which has led to many mistakes made by Chinese learners in the use of language. It is worth noting that most of the English teachers in China are Chinese, and the language environment around them is mainly Chinese students, and the degree of participation and interaction in the oral classroom is not high, which makes it difficult to learn the foreign language. Taking Northeastern dialect as an example, this paper aims to study the negative influence of Northeast Dialect on English pronunciation learning. This paper studies the northeast dialect, discusses the problems of the English learners, and studies how to overcome the negative transfer of the northeast dialect, and finds out the countermeasures. Using literature retrieval, material analysis and other research methods, this paper quotes previous studies on dialects, two language acquisition and negative transfer. It is found that in order to learn English well, English learners need to make clear the learning goals, set up correct ideas and attitudes, and excavate their potential abilities; the instructors should improve their quality and establish a correct teaching concept. At the same time, we should improve the pronunciation teaching system. The serious influence of Northeast Dialect on English pronunciation learning has directly led to the difficulty in understanding English in communication. Therefore, overcoming the influence of dialects is conducive to improving English listening and speaking ability as well as communicative competence as soon as possible.
