Abstract: This paper aims to explore the cultural differences between China and the United States through The Joy Luck Club in the perspective of family education. The author discusses the characteristics of the family education through mother and daughter in The Joy Luck Club and analyzes the cultural differences between China and the United States and attempts to unveil the possible reasons for these differences. The author finally draws the conclusion that it is the historical background, economic system, social conditions and cultural tradition that have resulted in the cultural differences between China and America.
