摘要：20世纪70年代初，小组合作学习兴起于美国，随后便被传至世界各国，现在，小组合作学习已经成为英语教学中的重要学习方式，在小学和中学英语教学中广泛应用。我国义务教育阶段英语课程的总体目标是培养学生的综合语言运用能力。本文通过分析小组合作学习的功能、模式及具体步骤，探索其在初中英语教学中的运用及问题，并针对这些问题提出可行性解决方案。
